Flex Electric was established by Kevin Haggerty in 1979 in an old storefront in the City of Rensselaer. As the company expanded throughout 30 years, the business had moved to different locations. In 2009 the company purchased its current building located in Watervliet, NY. The 12,000 sf building was remolded into 4,000 sf office space and 6,000 sf warehouse space. This historic building was originally a movie theater, then became the site for a casket manufacturer, and was most recently a sheet metal fabrication shop.

The electrical company that started with 2 employees over 30 years ago has grown to an office staff of 8, with 30 electricians. One of northeastern New York's premier electrical contractors, Flex Electrical continues to apply the strong tradition of quality and integrity to every project.
